Hello, this blog is managed by a group of coolio people, who just happen to have a fetish for pick-up lines! SO, to all those love-sick fellows out there! Drop by every now and then to get INSPIRATION for that love poem/prose that you've been dying to write for that special someone! Remember! the more love, the more tears, so I suggest you include a tissue pack in your gift of love! OH OH! I almost forgot! Since we're such a coolio bunch of people, we obviously don't work for free right? So, if a certain poem/ pick-up line just screams at you to use it, just drop us a tag alright? We don't expect you to PAY (although we would love some tips) but you can just update us on how our literature has worked magic in your life!

On Purpose

trees changed
by the winter
stand wavering;
thin silhouettes
stark

against cellophane sky.

sunlight no longer streams
through branches, but easily
rains down, carving
string-thick shadows

arching
over white roads.

the trees were full
months ago, rustling
softly like paper flutes
with every nudge from the wind;

now you tell me
that black ice is coming,

and as the trees shift
into slumber, we should brave
the wet gravel as it slides
from beneath our feet.

things changed
this winter, words
settling onto skin

just as warm breath clings
like chalk
onto frozen glass.

let me just tell you
that I

fell
for you, so quietly
that

there was no
thunderous crack
as icebergs broke apart;

nor epiphanies
and earthquakes; no
bursting concrete.

but my heartbeat
was a leaf, light
and translucent,
falling in the sun

the way all other leaves
fall -
careless;

for the dirt, for
the snow,

and only then
for you.

Please come back soon, we're working hard on a whole long list of pick-up lines!
